Moose lake state park is effected by weathering do to its glacier till and Moose Head and Echo Lake all created do to the glaciers that passed through Moose Lake, MN about 43 miles from Duluth, MN About two million years ago, the great ice age began as periodic glaciers (up to a mile thick) Advanced into the region from the north. As they ground across the areas, they changed the landscape dramatically, especially by removing the whole basin now occupied by Lake Superior. |
